COPPER NOIR RESULTS 2024


Back by popular demand for 2024...

The Copper Trail Noir!

SATURDAY 13TH JANUARY

A 11.5 Mile, timed, self-navigation trail run ....at night!

All one-way Runners will register in Portreath Surf Life Saving Club from 2.30pm before being bussed

over to the start point at Devoran from 4pm.

The race will start at 5pm in Devoran

You will have 5 hours to complete the trail (10pm cut-off)

There will be a checkpoint at the half way point in Scorrier laden with fluid

and salt & sugar snacks!


OR CHECK OUT THE NOIR BOOMERANG....


Double the distance, out & back, 23 Miles of pure Cornish Trail!

You guys will also register from 2.30pm in Portreath & set off at 3.45pm from Portreath beach heading for the turnaround point in Devoran (We will have fluid here for you as well as a toilet) before heading back to Portreath towards warmth, hot soup & the bar!

(Please stop at the other CP at The Fox & Hounds Pub in Scorrier as you will have to have your bib number checked off as you pass through. Here we will also have salt & sugar snacks for you)

You have 6.15hrs to complete this event with the overall cut-off time of 10pm back in Portreath

All runners will be issued with a GPS Tracker at registration


All runners must carry the following essential items. This is PER PERSON, sharing is NOT acceptable!
A fully charged mobile phone with power bank (Boomerang only need the power bank, but all runners to have a phone) /

Issued GPS tracker /

Headtorch with spare battery or torch /

 Spare warm clothing (leggings, hat, gloves can be wearing with additional spare warm top in bag) /

Foil blanket or survival bag /

A hi vis top or reflective strips-clothing /

Small first aid kit (Plasters/tape etc)

 Nutrition /

Compass (phone app acceptable) /

NOK details on paper /

Minimum 500ml fluid /

Collapsible cup (for use at CP)

All runners will receive a medal and there will be awards for the top finishers

We will also have hot soup & bread waiting for you at the finish!

The bar will be open as well!

This way marked trail follows two historic transport routes across Cornwall first opened in 1812,

helping the mines transport copper to the ports of Portreath & Devoran.
