CARDINHAM 5/10K

Here is your race day information for the Cardinham 2.5k, 5k & 10k on Sat 13th April 2024.

The event is situated in Cardinham Woods, postcode PL30 4AL.

There is a large Pay & display car park, normal charges apply, please note there is a camera ANPR system in place which scans your number plate as you enter!

Toilets are situated in the car park.

Race Registration is situated near the start point on the trail just inside the Forest here: ///subplot.trash.edgy

Race Registration will open 7am, here you will pick up your race bib (please bring your own safety pins where possible)

Please remember this is a cup less event, bring your own bottle or collapsible cup:)

Race Timings

0700hrs - Registration Opens.

0755hrs - Registration closes.

0800hrs - Canicross 5k & 10k start (individual starts)

0805hrs - Trail runners 5k & 10k start (Group start)

0930hrs - 2.5k Fun Run starts.

The Course

The course is a heavily marked half 5k loop / 2.5k loop through Cardinham Woods with marshals at key positions and a waterpoint at the finish. (10k complete the 5k loop twice with an interesting turn around...).

(Please bring your own bottle / collapsible cup as this is a cup less event).

Medical

If you need a medic somewhere else on the course speak to a marshal / fellow runner call event control on 0779267811 and we will get them to you.

In an emergency please dial 999 if you cannot get hold of event control.

We will have sweepers at the rear of the field to assist anyone in difficulty.

General Safety

Be aware of members of the public and please give way to, joggers, dog walkers, horse riders or anyone else using the trails.

If you need assistance whilst out on the course, alert a marshal, fellow runner or call event control on 07792 678611.

The ground is uneven throughout, may be slippery, muddy or wet, please wear appropriate footwear.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Headphones - For your own safety we request that you do not wear headphones, if you do so you do at your own risk.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Canicross Entries

Canicross entries please ensure your running companion is race fit and you are both wearing the correct equipment.
