 Starting and finishing in Talland bay this year, you will have 39 hours to complete the route which links all 4 individual stages of the challenge to form one epic anti-clockwise 100 Mile loop.

100 Miles of challenging Cornish terrain with 18000ft of elevation crossing Bodmin Moor and encompassing both the North & South Coast of Cornwall. The Smugglers Way in reverse, The Boscastle Scramble in reverse, The Saints Way Challenge standard direction and the Polruan Shuffle in reverse, all linked with two ferry crossings to make one unforgettable 100 Mile Challenge!


Fully supported self-navigation exercise with live GPS tracking and 7 feed stations along the route:

CP1 – Dobwalls Village Hall – 13.5 Miles: Cut off 1100hrs.

CP2 – Jamaica Inn – +10 Miles: Cut off 1424hrs.

CP3 – Cobwebb Inn Boscastle - +16 Miles: Cut off 2036hrs.

CP4 – Port Isaac Village hall – +13.5 Miles: Cut off 0136hrs. (Sun 28th Sept)

CP5 – Padstow Social Club – +12 Miles: Cut off 0600hrs.

CP6 – Lanivet Community Centre – +15 Miles: Cut off 1130hrs.

CP7 – Fowey Town Hall – +15 Miles: Cut off 1700hrs.

Additional time-check checkpoint - Timing only - + 7.5 miles: Polperro Quayside - Cut off 2000hrs

Finish – Tencreek Holiday Park: +3 Miles: Cut off 2100hrs.

**You must have LEFT the CP by the time it closes else this will result in  DQ**

Support crews are allowed but at designated crew points. (List to be published shortly)



Support Crew at Checkpoints

• A maximum of 2 support crew are permitted into the CP whilst you are there only ( not to wait for your arrival or remain after you have left the CP).


We recommend strongly that you have support crew with you who know you and your running needs. The checkpoints will have supplies, hot food, snacks, tea/coffee/fluids etc but we cannot cater for everyone's preference.

NB: Support crew are not permitted to stop to support runners at any other point along the route. Failure to adhere to this rule could jeopardise the future of the event & will be classed as a DQ.


NOISE

At official checkpoints, designated support crew points or indeed anywhere along the course please remember to keep the noise to a minimum especially during unsociable hours - Please respect the local community and the fact excessive noise could jeopardise the future of this event


Ferry Crossings

At Rock & Fowey during normal ferry operating times - your runner bib will grant you passage across to the other side. Outside of normal hours, both ferries will be running as a private hire for all competitors. Maximum turn around time for each ferry should be 15 minutes.


Mandatory Kit List

Whistle.

Compass (Not a phone app)

Hi Vis top or reflective strips for road safety

Lightweight Waterproof top.

Long trousers / running leggings or tights.

Hat or Buff

Chocolate bar or form of nutrition.

First Aid Kit

Survival Bag

Head torch with spare batteries.

Rear light.

A minimum of 1 litre of water.

A spare lightweight piece of warm clothing

A fully charged working mobile phone with a power bank (in a waterproof bag)

Paper with your name and your NOK mobile number written on it (in a waterproof bag)

Collapsible Cup (There are no cups at feed stations except for soup and tea / coffee)

£20 cash for emergencies.


Bag Drops

• We will have a designated bag drop area at race registration so it is there for you at the finish.

• You are also permitted to have one small - medium size bag taken to CP4 at Port Isaac by event crew. Bags must be clearly labelled with your name and Bib number.

• You will load your bag onto a designated minibus at race registration prior to the race start.

• Once CP4 has closed, event crew will return to your bag to Looe.
