WELCOME TO THE SAINTS WAY RICOCHET! 
THE BIG BROTHER OF THE SAINTS WAY...

SATURDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2024


You will register from 11pm on Friday 6th September in Fowey, then you’ll start at 00:05 on Saturday 7th September 2024, running through the early hours of Saturday through to the afternoon, making your way north across the county, skirting through Golant, whipping up Helman Tor, skipping across the St.Breock Downs, before hitting the half way point at Padstow Social Club ///lentil.suppers.booklets 

Here you can pause for breath & refuel with hot soup, bread & snacks, use the toilets, sit down or lie down & contemplate your life choices before heading off back down south towards Fowey, racing the dawn!

The cut off for the Ricochet is 19 hours. In addition there will be set cut off timings for each checkpoint

Follow the ancient Saints Way from coast to coast. This way marked trail has been associated with early saints,  missionaries & Celtic traders seeking to trade with the Egyptians and Greeks or flee the yellow plague in Wales in the sixth century.

This event is a supported, self-navigation exercise with 7 manned checkpoints containing fluid & sustenance along the route. 
All runners will receive a Saints Way Ricochet medal with 2024 ribbon!

Registration for the Saints Way Ricochet will be held in Fowey on the Friday evening ///rejects.playoffs.wrenching. There will be a mandatory kit list for runners to carry & all competitors will be subject to a kit check prior to the start of the Ricochet. This event will be timed & runners will be issued with a GPS tracker prior to the start. 
All runners will be required to check in at the start, all 7 checkpoints & the finish. 

Please be aware that this race goes through the night and we expect all runners & supporters to respect the fact people are sleeping therefore to keep noise to a minimum when going through villages, past houses & when you reach the turnaround point in Padstow.

The minimum age for this event is 18 years.

Mandatory Kit List
-GPS Tracker / link to live feed (Issued at reg)
-Head torch plus spare batteries
-Whistle
-Compass (Phone app or watch acceptable)
-Hi Vis top / kit bag or reflective strips for safety
-Lightweight Waterproof top (can be wearing)
-Long trousers / running leggings or tights (can be wearing)
-Hat (can be wearing)
-Chocolate bar or nutrition.
-First Aid Kit (plasters, wipes, tape)
-A minimum of 1 litre of fluid.
-A spare lightweight warm long sleeved top clothing (in a waterproof bag)
-A fully charged working mobile phone plus portable phone charging pack
-Paper with your name and your NOK mobile number written on it (in a waterproof bag)
-£20 Cash
-Bivvy/survival bag
-Collapsible/reusable cup

 The kit list is there for your safety. We will not permit you to race unless every bit of kit is present
